Leadership Teamwork Meets Transformation
#Organizational Transformation
#Leadership Team Development
When two production locations of a growing family-owned business group merged into one, with one site closing and the other remaining, a new leadership team automatically came into place. On paper, the strategic rationale for the change was clear. In practice, the team was still finding its footing. New ways of working had not yet been discussed or found. Trust was low, and meaningful conversations about the way forward had not yet happened. Ambiguity and unclarity showed up across decisions, employee engagement was low, and the number of employees on sick leave was high. Each leader was largely navigating the situation on their own - doing their best to move forward, but without a connected plan.
Our work focused first on creating a safe space for the conversations that had not yet taken place. We helped the team surface and voice their different perspectives, build mutual understanding, and strengthen trust. From there, we supported them in developing shared ownership of the path forward: moving from a group of individuals to a real leadership team, able to act with alignment and clarity, as well as on practical steps to take to create a meaningful change management approach to engage their employees in the desired future.
